Along The Silk Road – Cultural Tour Kyrgyzstan

Along the Silk Road tour is for the people who love to explore Kyrgyz culture, tradtion, food and who want to get close to the local. And this tour lets you to discovery the most beautiful places with outstanding landscapes along the Silk Road.

Itinerary: 

Day 1: Bishkek: Bishkek: Arrival in Bishkek. Meet at the airport with guide and driver. Transfer to the center to check in hotel. Check in hotel and rest for few hours after a long flight. (Shower, breakfast in hotel). Before lunch we go out and do city tour. Visiting always lively Osh bazaar, and lunch in one of the restaurants in Bishkek to try Kyrgyz cousin. Visit Ala Too Main Square in Bishkek and the monuments around. Visiting Fine&Art museum. Dinner at restaurant and overnight in Hotel.

Day 1: Bishkek- Karakol: Morning pick you up from your hotel and head to Karakol, on the way visit Burana Tower (archeological complex from 11^th century). And continue driving toward to Karakol, Yssyk Kul lake (the pearl of Tien Shan ranges). Lunch in Boom gorge in local restaurant. Drive on the north shore of lake. Arrive in Karakol and visit Orthodox church and Dungan Muslim mosque. Dinner at restaurant and overnight in hotel or guesthouse.

Day 3: Karakol – Bokonbaevo: Morning breakfast and start to explore the hidden gems on the south shore of Yssyk Kul lake. We will visit Seven Bulls (Jeti Oguz), Barskoon Waterfalls (mini hike), and Fairytale Canyons (mini hike) and arrive in Bokonbaevo. Check in local guesthouse. Walk in the village and get to know local life. Dinner and overnight in guesthouse.

Day 4: Bokonbaevo - Naryn: Morning breakfast and meeting with Eagle Man and his golden eagle. And be witness for the hunting demonstration. And continue our road to Naryn city. We will drive via Orto Tokoi water reservoir and Kochkor. Have lunch in Kochkor and visit handicraft shop. (Possibility to have demonstration of Kyrgyz carpet). And continue our road to Naryn through Dolon Pass at alt 3030m above sea level. Arrive in Naryn check in hotel or guesthouse. Dinner at restaurant.

Day 5: Naryn – Tash Rabat: After breakfast we will drive to Tash Rabat Caravan Sarai from 15^th century. Arrive in Tash Rabat Yurt camp, check in and visit Caravan Sarai. After lunch we will have free time to hike or chill in yurt camp. Dinner and overnight in yurt camp.

Day 6: Tash Rabat – Song Kol: After breakfast we will head to Song Kol lake via 33 Parrots Pass, on before the pass we will mini hike to waterfall from Song Kol lake. Lunch or picnic on the way. Arrive in Song KOl lake yurt camp. Check in and walk around. Dinner and overnight in yurt camp on the shore of lake.

Day 7: Song Kol (Relax day): Day of relaxation in the lands of Nomads, paradise for livestock.

Possibly activities to do: Hiking to Petroglyphs, horseback riding or just relax in the camp. Lunch and dinner at the yurt camp.

Day 8: Song Kol – Kyzyl Oi: Breakfast and start our road to Kyzyl Oi via Kara Keche pass, the biggest coal mining in Kyrgyzstan. Beautiful nature, lunch on the way in Chaek. And continue driving along the Kokomeren river. Arrive in Kyzyl Oi village, check in Guest House and walk in the village to explore. Very small village with great views and interesting lives. Dinner and overnight in Guest House.

Day 9: Kyzyl Oi – Arkyt (Sary Chelek): After breakfast we will go for a long drive through the several passes, snaky roads, the biggest DUM Tokotgul with incredible landscapes, so you won’t get bored on a long road. Lunch on the way. We will arrive in one of the nearest villages to Sary Chelek (Kyzyl Tuu or Arkyt). Check in Guest House, walk in the village to discovery rural life. Dinner and overnight in Guest House.

Day 10: Day trip to Sary Chelek: After breakfast we will drive to the lake 15km, and we will spend a day there, visit Sary Chelek lake walk on the shore, and hike to other lakes up to your wishes. Have picnic there and evening drive back to the same guesthouse for dinner and overnight

Day 11: Sary Chelek – Osh: Morning breakfast at guesthouse and drive to Osh, Osh is the oldest city in Kyrgyzstan and it is considered south capital of the country. On the way will visit Uzgen Tower same as Burana Tower. Arrive in Osh, check in Hotel, and walk in the city. Hike up to Suleiman Too, where we can visit museum in a cave and panoramic view to Osh city.  Dinner at restaurant and overnight in Hotel.

Day 12: Transfer to Airport: Fly back home with great memories
